Observing nests and movements
All chicks are marked in the nest, at an age of 60 to 80 days. Each is given
a metal ring from the French national natural history museum on one leg and
a system of coloured rings on the other.
Tagged birds are then tracked throughout the year at feeding sites, nests
and elsewhere, whenever they can be identified. Movements are also tracked
on a regular basis.
